Each colour plot on this page consists of 64 squares (eight rows by eight columns) of colour absorption images. Each square shows absorption (absorption = quiet day curve power - measured power) over a 240km square area of the ionosphere, at 90km altitude. The squares are ordered chronologically starting in the top left-hand corner of the plot, with time increasing from left to right, and then from row to row (as you would read the lines on a page of text). The time step between squares (resolution) is stated at the top of each plot.
